- The name Pantsabear is a combination of the words pants and bear, since they are furry ooblets that wear pants. Given that Pantsabears don't resemble real-life bears, the "bear" may refer to bugbears instead of actual bears--large, furry monsters told of in folktales in order to dissuade children from playing in dangerous places.
- Pantsabears are featured in two games in Port Forward – Legsy Leg It and Legsy Let Loose
- When equipping a bowtie (and possibly other neck items) on a Pantsabear, they appear on his pants! Ironic or mistake?
