The Player Shop is a shop which is owned and operated by the Player.
Unlocking[]
At the start of the game it will simply be known as the "empty shop", but it can be unlocked by completing the Tinstle Task "Open your own shop!". The task beacon will automatically appear after reconnecting the Nullwhere Oobnet Tower. The shop requires 6 oobsidian, 30 nurnies, and 150 plankets to repair.
Retail Minigame[]
As the owner of the shop, the Player is able to sell almost any item in the game. By interacting with special Display Case furniture items, the Player is able to display items for sale.[1]
The shop can be opened by interacting with the sign on the window next to the door. Once the shop is open, Badgetown residents will enter and begin looking around at the Player's wares. The Player has the option to assist customers, who will tell the Player what their preferred item is. Once the customer selects what they'd like to buy, they will head to the register at the back of the store, where the Player needs to ring them up. There are three options for sales:
- Normal Sell: sell at base rate, costs 0 energy
- Haggle: random chance of a better or worse sale price, costs 8 energy
- Negotiate: skill-based chance of better or worse sale price, costs 4 energy
However, if the Player fails to ring up the customer in time, the customer will leave, resulting in a failed sale. The Player is able to restock the shop at any point while it's open, though this costs 1 energy per item.[2] To close the shop, the Player can once again interact with the sign on the window. Alternatively, if it is too close to bedtime, the game will automatically force the shop to close. Once the shop closes, a summary of the sales made that day will appear along with the shop level progress (similar to the Player summary and level progress which appears when the Player goes to bed), and the Player can receive Upgrade Tokens to upgrade the shop.[3] Experience points (XP) for the shop are awarded for each transaction, based on whether the transaction was a failed/normal/good/great sale, if it was a preferred item, and if it was an event item.
Weekly Events[]
Each day, a different event takes place where certain items will sell for a slightly higher base price and will grant more Shop XP than normal with each sale. Events for the week can be checked by interacting with the register. More events can be unlocked through shop upgrades. The possible events are:
- Building Material Day
- Cake Day
- Drink Day
- Figurine Day
- Fishing Day
- Fruity Crops Day
- Mamoonia Crop Day
- Nullwhere Crop Day
- Ooblet Accessory Day

Decorating the Shop[]
Furniture[]
Like the player's Farmhouse on the Farm, the interior of the Player Shop is fully customizable. Furniture which is normally used in the player's Farmhouse can also be used in the Player Shop, but are only there for decoration and cannot be used to display and sell items (see the "Display Cases" section below for selling items). However, items such as hotplates, the Kettle & Cup, and storage chests can all be used.
The only types of furniture and decor that cannot be used in the Player shop are:
- Beds (no sleeping allowed in there!)
- Paint (the outside of the shop cannot be customized)
Display Cases[]
Shop Display Cases are used to display items for sale, and can be found in the left room of Manatwee between the Fabricuter and the house expansions. They can also be purchased from Oobazon Furniture using the Puter in the Badgetown Oobnet Tower. You will need to purchase the appropriate upgrades using Shop Tokens in order to unlock the larger Shop Displays.
